Star’s Simple Shimmies Class is  the perfect class for a beginner.  I focus on teaching the novice dancer how to position the body for bellydance, how to start with excellent posture and form, and how to stretch and breathe through the movements. You will learn Classic Egyptian, American Tribal Style and Tribal Fusion styles of bellydance.  This gives you a foundation for whatever style you may become partial to.  No rhythm you say?  Well, that’s what I’m here for.  I am a singer, musician that appreciates the importance of musical theory in my class.  You will learn Arabic drum rhythms and will be encouraged to drum.  We also work with many different props such as, finger cymbals, silk veil, Isis wings, sword, candles, skirt, and cane, just to name a few.

Star’s Super Shimmies Class  is a class that is offered to those who are familiar with the basic movements in bellydance.  This is a challenging class.  Cardio is the focus here.  You will expand your dance repertoire with more complex moves and layering. This is a fun, energetic class that is suitable for advanced and intermediate students who know the movements and are ready to progress to the next level.  Did I mention, you will sweat!  This is a great way to keep those unwanted pounds off.  This is also a wonderful format you can use doing your home study and practice.
